just to let you know, i followed the instructions and used the right paper, and your design SUCKS!! i wasted 20 minutes putting it together for the ipod to just make it fall over.

I have to agree with Nate here. I printed this out on cardstock and it collapsed immediately. The back needs to be supported or it folds and the iPhone crashes on its back.

According to some they claim to have used the right paper and still fail… I have no comment on that.
What I can say is I tried this on 140gsm paper and with some modifications, it works!
It’s cheating but it works. I added two more layers on to the back face and glue with latex glue, then add a ‘block’ at the bottom (the part where the rabbit ears meet the face with the logo) to prevent the rabbit ears from going forward when pressed down by the iDevice. The ‘block’ is made of two strips of the same paper glued together. I could use boards but I want to be minimalist

It supports the phone perfectly fine. Even standing vertical position is fine, too.

Esta muy bien pero lo tuve que intentar tres veces por que NO SE SOSTIENE, se cae hacia atras. Al final a la tercera, incluso con cartulina, le he tenido que pegar unas tablitas de madera y ENTONCES se ha quedado soportado.
Pero aun asi muy bueno.
La verdad, es recomendable que lo impriman en papel MUY DURO, casi cartón del duro

J’ai utiliser le carton qui était derriere un »cahier spirale » de 200 pages et ça tien. Je vais aussi allonger la partie entre les plis 2 et 3 pour que mon ipod classik parce-que je trouve qu’il est un peut trop penché vers l’arriere

Simple, et juste génial. Je n’ai pas d’ipod ni iphone ni toutes ces conneries griffées d’une pomme, mais ce support marche parfaitement bien avec les portables HTC, j’ai un HTC Legend qui ne le quitte plus! (sauf quand c’est moi qui quitte mon bureau!)

The template is fantastic. The choice of materials is not so good. Make it out of a thin plastic, salvaged from a plastic file folder, or even the backer from a bacon package. This type of plastic is easily cut with an Xacto knife or a Stanley utility knife, and will crease to shape with springy flexibility that gives the stand support.. This will make a sturdy, durable stand better than paper or cardboard. Cheap plastic file folders come in all shades of colors for the fashionistas.

Thanks for the design. Small mod to make stronger without blocking the cable run, or need for extra card or glue. Only cut out the edges of the long strip (slot), not completely, put in a fold about 35 mm along , then another fold about 15mm , and then make a tab, cut of the remainder. Will look like a J. hinge from back, fold about the bottom base slot back on itself, and push tab through the same slit as for the main tab and fold up edges to catch, assemble the rest as normal.

Très bonne idee un dock ecologique. Par contre etes vous sur que cela ne chauffe pas en dessous, car l’iPhone chauffe assez rapidement meme en charge

Je pense qu’il faut quand même être très minutieux pour y arriver ? Surtout qu’à l’arrivé est ce que c’est assez solide, ou il vaut mieux prendre un dock ? Quelqu’un à déjà essayé avec un iPhone 4 pour me confirmer ? Merci

Bien vu l’aveugle.. Moi qui aime bien les origamis je suis comblé, c’est très astucieux. Pour ma part je l’ai réalisé avec du papier cartonné qui sert de dernière de couverture pour les dossier en reliure et j’ai consolidé les deux pattes arrière en collant avec du scotch un trombone sur chacune d’entre elles

Excellent – I created one exactly as specified and it worked perfectly well. The only problem I had was that when I first printed out the template, for some reason it was not scaled to 100%, so I made a mini-iPod stand!
This is a very clever and imaginative design.
